Our goal is to come up with innovative ways of saving you time and
money by making your company more
efficient and more
connected. To
realize this goal, we use the best programming tools available to
create stream-lined applications that
integrate easily with your
current office software.
Efficiency
In today’s new economy, the most efficient offices are
paperless
offices. For example, we have created various types of electronic forms
(eForms) for several very different clients. To use eForms, a
respondent simply inputs information, which then gets automatically
stored in a database. By using a database rather than a traditional
filing system, the information becomes easier to search, easier to
retrieve and easier to compile. For clients already using databases, we
have eliminated the redundancy and potential data entry error of having
one person fill out a paper form, and another input the information.
The versatility of eForms allows them to be run from a web page, as a
separate application, or even from a cellular phone.
Connectivity
Since most of our clients have been multi-national or international in
structure, “global networking” to us is much more
than a
theoretical idea. Whether they use Internet or Intranet capabilities,
all of our applications are designed to be accessible wherever they are
needed. For example, for one international client that needed to keep
track of evaluations of employees around the world, we created a
database that was globally accessible, but also flexible enough to
accommodate users who could not always be connected. The main database
was stored on servers in the company’s central location. We
then
allowed users to pull “mini-databases” that would
cache
pertinent information locally. The program would automatically detect
when the user was next online and synchronize the information.
Integration
In order to provide you with the most cost-effective solutions, one
thing we won’t do is duplicate existing programs. If you
already
have applications that are doing part of the job for you, we can
integrate those legacy platforms with new applications to maximize your
previous investments. For example, when one client asked us to automate
part of their payroll system, we took advantage of pre-existing
databases of employee information to automatically fill out pertinent
fields of our electronic pay forms. This eliminated the cost of writing
a new database program, or alternatively, the time it would take an
employee to manually search for and insert the information.
Current Office Software
One of the best ways to accomplish our goal of making your company more
efficient, is to modify your pre-existing programs to enable them to
perform more functions. For example, when one of our clients discovered
that their employees were spending a lot of time duplicating their
peers’ work with certain research questions, we modified
their
e-mail system to automatically store research-related e-mail in a
database. Now, someone with a similar research question can easily pull
any relevant e-mail with a simple keyword search.
